Hi

For anyone who is looking at my work I have an old blog that I am going to start using called "Life is fun when you do craft".  As much as I still do card making and teach it at work, I started dabbling a lot more in mixed media so if you want to follow or look at my work , join me http://stampswobbly.blogspot.com.au/ at my new blog and I will try and regularly at to this blog.  Bye for now.  Oh, in case you're curious, here is a journal page I just added.

Hi everyone!
Can't believe how incredibly slack I have been!  Mind you I have had some traumas to deal with but I'm slowly getting back to normal and thought I would share the good news!  I have now been published!!  Rachel Grieg from DarkRoom Door asked me to do some samples using a couple of her new stamps and they have been published on her blog!  Cool huh!
DarkRoom Door stamps are just a delight to work with. Deep etched red rubber and they stamp beautifully.  And her designs are gorgeous and allow for such creativity.  We have a great range at Photo Continental and I can't stop buying them!!! Click here to see all her new stamps as well as her previously released range too! And if you want to see my work click on this link to the DarkRoom Door gallery/Blog
I have been busy at work at PC with classes and Christmas. Plus developing new card classes.  Everyone is so keen to do action cards!  This week I am teaching the magic card.  Everyone has been asking for it so they get it this week!!!
I'll try and put up some photos in the next week.
In the mean time be safe!!

Hi there, I have decided to put some more images up of cards I have made and really like. Some were made quite a while ago whilst others are recent.  Now that I am working full time at Photo Continental at Mt Gravatt in Brisbane Queensland I get inspired to do lots of projects but then I forget to post them!  Hope you enjoy these images. If you have any comments or questions just let me know!  I am now going to try and regularly publish some of the pieces I do at work.
Cheers

This is my latest fun!! On the way back from a trip to Canberra, I convinced the family to stop at some charity shops where I picked up some very cheap silver collector spoons. You kinow the ones, they have a little disc on the top saying some place is wonderful. Anyway, one night I was playing around with some ice resin and thought I'd try a spoon necklace. I love the end result and I hope you do too.
Till next time!

This one I made for my son who turned into a teenager recently!!! Had to make something hip Dude!! I tore up an old carton and used the corrogated side for the background and sprayed with glimmer mist. He loved it!

This one was an ATC I did for "Steampunk" and had great fun trying to figure out what makes a man tick!

When I first bought this tattered angels stamp of an owl I was a bit concerned because its quite large but I thought it looked great in front of a full moon.

This is a glasses case that I altered using alcohol inks and metal foil. Lots of fun and much better than plain grey!

Hi everyone! Easter will soon be upon us and the means the kids will be on school holidays! Íf you are like me you will need to get more supplies of the essentials such as bread, cordial and crisps as my place is closest to the local cricket pitch so I normally have about 6 extra mouths to feed at lunchtime! Fortunately they are all pretty good kids and they all love my home made biscuits! Tomorrow is an evening of card making as I owe all my penpals letters. Have done the letters but I now need to make the cards. With the cooler weather I am quite happy in my craft room being creative. This week I have lesson 3 in the big book of knowledge so I'll need to make my samples for that too. Well that is it for now so I wish you lots of craft time, many eggs from the Easter Bilby and a safe and Happy Easter! Linda x

Hi all
I've been so busy but I just had to sit down and write a few words! I have been designing and collecting information for the 'Book of knowledge' classes I am teaching at Stampers Wonderland. Together with Barb and Shelly I have designed some lessons that are going to cover basic papercraft ideas as well as some new tricks (hopefully) as there are so many people who are just starting out or don't know additional uses for items. The lessons cover such topics as: Stamp pads, Paper, Alcohol inks, Glimmer mists, Using UTEE, ideas for your cuttle bug or big shot. So far I have about 13 lessons in mind. So if your interested, talk to the girls at Stampers Wonderland on 38057344 or check out the newsletter at www.papercraft.net.au . Would love to see you!

Bye for now!

Well I have now taught 3 classes at Stampers and Scrapbookers Wonderland and had a ball! Everyone is so friendly and all seemed to enjoy the classes. I am now busily working on the classes for the big book of knowledge. The first one will be covering the folder you will keep your notes and samples and I would like to have a sample ready so I'd better get started! Hope life is sunny and happy for you all.

Keep smiling!

Hi everyone
The 3 pictures below are classes I will be teaching at Stampers and Scrapbookers Wonderland. My first class is this Saturday and I am so excited and a little bit nervuos too! But I have never met a crafter I haven't liked so it should be heaps of fun. Plus don't forget on Australia Day we are having a make and take day with auctions to raise money for those affected by the floods. Door entry is $10 and we have lots of goodies to auction off that have been donated by various businesses. Lunch is included at the auction is a 1 cent auction. So come along and say "G'Day" and help support those devasted by floods and have some laughs too.

Hope to see you there!

Linda

Hi all
Sorry I haven't written for a while! I was very busy over Christmas and had some exciting news! Barbara and Shelly of Stampers and Scrapbookers Wonderland have asked me to teach at their shop and so I have been very busy developing some art work for classes! I was so excited and so honoured to be asked. I start teaching in February so if you think you might like to join me give them a call on 07 3805 7355 and talk to them about what is on offer. They will be publishing class dates in the next newsletter on their website. Plus I will take some photos of the pieces when I visit the shop next week. (I'd forget my head if it wasn't attached!)
The 3 main pieces for Feb are a Tim Holtz configarations box, a wallhanging for Valentine's Day and 5 quick cards. So I hope to see you sometime at Stampers Wonderland for loads of fun!

Cheers

Hi everyone
This is what I have been playing around with this week. I wanted to do some off the page stuff but I wanted colour instead of my usual brown tonings. I have to say it was lots of fun creating these pieces. Might do a few more! Hope you enjoy having a look.

Cheers

Hi all
I have to tell you about my amazing fun since I put an advert in the RSM (Rubber Stamp Madness) magazine which is an american publication. I was looking for people to swap cards and tips with etc and so far I have received 3 cards with letters! I am so excited! The ladies are from New Jersey, Illinois and Massachusetts. It's certainly making me learn more about the states of America as each time I receive a card I look up their address on google earth and see where they live. I can't wait to get to know each of the better. Should be heaps of fun!

Bye for now

Hi everyone
Whilst I was on camp I made a couple of things in between eating, sleeping, laughing and teaching. And for those that were there, I guess I should also mention singing!!! Here are a couple of pictures to tempt you to camp next year. There was so much talent at the camp it was easy to be inspired to create and all the laughs certainly made it fun.
As yoiu can see I have decided to use cranberry and green for my Christmas Cards this year. I just love the 2 colours together. The rose on the first card is made using the technique shown in the video below. They are so easy and look lovely. Hope you like them.
Till next time
Linda

Hi again! I have finally figured out how to put some of my work here so this is a picture of my piece that was the challenge at the SS stamp camp. We were given Large wooden letters to decorate anyway we wanted. Since I was given an N, I decided to go with Nest as you can see. And I was absolutely thrilled when I won 1st prize!! I had a choice of a couple of prizes and chose a new EK punch which is lovely. I had so much fun do my nest''. At first I had painted some jelly beans for eggs but they kept melting!! Fortunately Evelyn had her melting pot to show us so I made some eggs from UTEE. I was really p-leased with mt final result. Thanks to everyone who voted for my piece!
Cheers

Hi anyone!
I have just got home from a fabulous stamp camp run by the Southside Stampers where I had so much fun and laughed so hard and now I am oh so tired!! We got up to all sorts of michief! Ginny the water fowl had me almost laying eggs, Nessa the fester called me all sorts of names, some I couldn't even pronounce! Then Jane and Louise almost wet their pants and Nessa got a numb hand and Rellie was obsessed with the 'member''. Then the spy twins detected some more laughs and it was on for young and old!! All I know is I haven't laughed so much for ages and I'm already looking forward to next year's camp. And a big thanks to all the girls that organised the camp weekend. You did a great job and keep a spot for me!
Hope you all got yourselves and all your treasures home safely and maybe someone might look at my blog!!
Cheers
Linda

Hi everyone or should I say anyone?? I have been busy showing people how to make these beautiful roses! Plus I have been playing with some news stamps I have. I have decided that the Stamping and card making people of this world and just wonderful and so kind and some times wicked, but always up for a laugh! I hope to put some cards up soon on my blog but have to figure out the technical side of things work first!

Keep on crafting! Linda
